Parenting... #reflectionO2021

Does anybody else sometimes seem to feel paralyzed when considering all the fine details of the role of being your child's advocate? Please don't misunderstand me! Those earlier years of my life it was all so clear and simple. As I sit here, and my mother's home, watching my Little One play with...well, e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. I realized how unrealistic and illogical some of my expectations were.  This might se

We finally caught up to the trend that seems to be floating around the sewing and sewist communities! Seamstresses far and wide have been building communities and collaborating sharing their love of sewing. This craft is truly an art form that can explore many contents, disciplines, and skills. If you feel brave enough, please check out the link and contact us directly (via text message, or FB messenger, Instagram chat, or Snapchat chat). Materials are on the way and we shall be starting the process June 1st. If there are people who would like to get started early, we can accommodate that. 🤔😀🧐 See 👀 this post; Slides for Intro I hesitate placing this "lesson" in the post. Keep in mind, they are from YouTube.  However, it's a great place to find: Spreadsheet for Measurements I have attached a copy of my current measurements, what I will be using for this project, and if you observe closely you will notice a couple of things. The main idea is this garment takes into co

Playtime @ MaMaws' Montessori

Image
Today's playtime was, in part, I inspired by some neat-o toys acquired at our local fast food store (see tags) and let us tell you, they are a hit with our LO! You'll notice, in the picture,  an arrangement of toys to structure the concept of exploration. A 1,000 cube, a couple of kid's meal toys, a gift from the holidays, and an old toy of mine were gathered to provide an opportunity to have some fun and learn at the same time? After playing with the rubrics puzzle for a while, he discovered that turning the xylophone upside down made a different set of sounds, than when it was turned the way I played it down. The picture is blurry due to the fact that he was using the mallet to push and pull the toys in the arrangement he felt was most optimal for play.  ☺ Pose for the camera! Possibly the cutest picture from today's play: "Rabbi with Son."

MaMaws' Meat Loaf & Balls

Image
Hello there, Thanks for stopping by! I'm going to leave these pictures here for now, then I'll update with the details later? Of course, if you want our complete recipe (or to try some)  you'll need to contact us directly for pricing and scheduling ;) Obviously, we substituted ingredients and added some extras to make it to our liking. Ok, real quick, we had a little under 2 lbs of meat; this yielded 24 1oz meatballs and a small meal loaf.
