2021 Newsletter - Quarter 2 of 4

Hey there Montessorians, And, thank you for checking back with us so quickly! If you have a little one, or help care for one, then you already know about the moments of laughter, silliness, stress, skepticism, sorrow, suspicion, and love that can fill your day; as well as how blissful it can be.  If you showed up to check up on Kellan, he is doing great; celebrating his 20th month has been bittersweet, to say the least.  Shutterfly and social media will be how we share pictures for now, do you have a better idea?  If so, please let us know? #tyvm  For those of you who are here to check up on us, we are doing great as well!  Everyday on this side of the earth is a success, so count it as a win!  As most of you know, we have been gearing up our lives to prepare for the next few years, who isn’t right?   Brian’s hunts are going well and together we have been cooking up some ideas for our LO and what he has to look forward to/expect.   Most recently, we have been playing around with crayon

 Well, so far this year we have had MANY things going on. Y'all too?  *face* *hugs* So, with the wish of sharing what is new to dish, let's get started! We are excited to announce another piece of our curriculum to share.  If you follow our social medias, you know of the Teach My Toddler , the self-directed hands-on curriculum for our little one.  He has this is regular rotation, along with his academic/sensory activities.   Now, our new piece is detailed below... Does anybody else sometimes seem to feel paralyzed when considering all the fine details of the role of being your child's advocate? Please don't misunderstand me! Parenting is the greatest gift and joy I have experienced thus far in my three and a half decades of living! For most of us it's a goal that we decide upon in our earliest of years. I feel blessed and grateful, but also human. And the days pre L.O. I would observe or be around kids and have such critical thoughts... How I would do it differently? Why they were allowing this particular "thing" (eg behavior, language, etc.) to continue? For what reason were they not implementing <insert fill in the blank> strategy or structure for progress? Those earlier years of my life it was all so clear and simple. As I sit here, and my mother's home, watching my Little One play with...well, e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.
